Product ranges

Our VELUX trademark keeps our brand strong and unique – so we need to protect it. One easy way to do that is to remind customers that we manufacture a whole range of products – not just roof windows.

Always combine VELUX with the name of a product range. So instead of letting VELUX stand alone, write VELUX roof windows or VELUX accessories, as shown below.

  • Clear space in pagination 

    A clear space rule has been developed in order to ensure a high degree of visibility and legibility for the product range in the pagination. The height of the product range characters should be the same as the height of the white letters in the VELUX logo (wordmark) you are using.

  • Colours and typography

    You can print the product ranges in one of three colours: black, white or VELUX Medium Grey. These colours complement the vibrant red of the VELUX logo, and the neutral tone of the product ranges underscores the high quality of the brand.

    The typography for the product ranges is always our standard VELUX Gothic Regular.

  • On brochures

    When you place text on the front cover of a VELUX brochure, always ensure that the product range is in the headline.

    We recommend using our signature, Bringing light to life, at the bottom, as shown in the examples. In general, our logo should appear in the brochure’s upper right-hand corner.

    The signature is not mandatory, but we recommend you use it as much as possible. Please see Signature for more details.

    Spreads

    Maintain brochure spread consistency by following these guidelines.

    Right page (top):
    VELUX + product range
    Font size: 12 pt

    Left page (bottom):
    Page number and section name

    Right page (bottom):
    Page number

    The product range is in the top right corner of the right-hand page. For texts of varying lengths, simply adjust the line and the text to the left – but keep an extra space on the right and left.

    Spreads – incorrect use


    You should only place the product range in the top right corner of the right-hand page.


    The product range should always be placed in the top right corner and written in either white, black or VELUX Medium Grey.

    Back

    On the back page of all VELUX brochures, you can choose to place either our product range text or our corporate text next to the VELUX logo.

    The back of our brochures should be kept simple and consistent, so the same basic information should always appear: the VELUX logo, signature, company address, and the product range text or corporate text. No other images, texts, or special offers should appear.

    Back – colours

    The back page of a VELUX brochure should be in a single colour. You can choose ­between any of the corporate colours for this page: white, VELUX Blue, VELUX Red or VELUX Light, Medium or Dark Grey.

    Keep elements in line with the template. The corporate or product text should appear next to the logo.

    The product range should be aligned with the logo, not centred under it.

  • On ads

    Without product range in headline

    The product range will often appear in an advertisement’s heading. In this case, you do not need to list the product range at the bottom of the page. But when we do not feature the product range in the heading, it must go in the bottom left-hand corner.

    The signature can be any size under the body text.

    With product range in headline

    When a product range appears in the heading of an advertisement, it does not need to appear again at the bottom.

    In this case, you can place the signature next to the logo.

    Incorrect use


    Place the product range in the left-hand corner, not next to the logo. And always ensure the text is black, white or VELUX Medium Grey.
